The new Hudson County High-Tech High School was formally awarded to the design/build team of Terminal Construction /DMR Architects/Johnson and Urban..
The winning design/build bid was $143,000,000 making it one of the largest construction projects in New Jersey.
The state of the art school will encompass 340,000sf with many energy efficient systems such as, rainwater harvesting, roof-mounted photovoltaic arrays, a combined-heat power system, wind turbines and a geothermal heating/cooling system. Project is expected to achieve a LEED Gold certification under the new version 4 rating system.
Project is expected to start construction in July 2016 with completion for an on-time school opening of September 2018.
